College Coaches Showcase Oct 22 &23
at Temple College was another success for the players!
The Temple Combine and Tournament Oct 22nd &23rd provided new college coaches to see new and returning players.
At Temple players were seen by college coaches that were not at Kinkaid the previous weekend including Chris Clemons(McClennan CC), Troy Moock(Blinn Coll), Craig McMurtry(Temple College), Derek Dunaway(MHB) and Ryan Brisbin(new head coach at Schreiner Univ). This combine also allowed the players to play 3 games in a tournament format. The Saints will finish their 2011 College Coaches Combines in Dallas Nov 19th and 20th where they expect 100 players and more than 20 college coaches!

College Coaches Showcase a Smashing Success
The College Coaches Combine at Kinkaid HS on October 15th & 16th sponsored by Ray Van Keuren and his Saints Baseball Organization lives up to its advertisement and then some! This showcase saw 163 players over the weekend and close to 20 different college coaches! It was well run and organized so that players stayed busy and everyone had their performance rated by top college coaches from around the state. These evaluations can be seen on www.saintsbaseballorg.com and Houston 5A Baseball! They were sent out to more than 115 colleges that use them to recruit and many of the players there are already fielding phone calls from coaches that attended and those on the list!
Coaches that were present include: Jim Gilligan (Lamar Univ),Trip Couch (Univ of Houston),DJ Wilson (San Jacinto College),Richard Martinez (Angelina College), Darin Forse (Galveston College),Jeff Robinson (Ranger College),Guy Simmons (Richland College), Russell Stockton(HBU) and Brian Augney (UT Brownsville). Coaches from Hill College ,Alvin College, Mary Hardin Baylor and several more sent assistant coaches either Saturday or Sunday!
The Saints are in Temple at Temple College this weekend Oct 22nd &23rd. They finish their fall combines at Eastfield College and Richland College on Nov 19th & 20th. Based on the turnout and the job well done this past weekend players will do themselves some good by making these next 2 combines as well. Saints-Panthers win the AABC regional qualifier held at HBU

The team went 5-0 scoring over 40 runs with an explosive offense with every player contributing multiple hits and RBI’s.
The Panther pitching staff shut down their opponents and all 6 Panther pitchers deserve credit with multiple appearances and victories. Panther’s defense did manage to turn multiple double plays over the weekend and even one triple play in the championship game on Sunday.
The boys have been fun to coach and I have enjoyed watching them grow over the last few months. This is an exciting group because they all go to the same high school (Ridge Point High School) and will be competing in their first varsity season in the 24 4A district next spring.
The Panthers are ready and are heading to Dallas to play in the AABC tournament next week.
